Delta father sells 1 day old own baby

Crime1
Controversial absurdity is brewing in Orhuwhorun community, Udu Local Government Area of Delta State following the alleged sale of a day-old baby for N2million by her father, one Happy Fashion Orhuwhorun.
The ugly development was blown open by the mother of the new baby, Mrs. Abigal Happy when she discovered that her sixth baby which she gave birth to on Monday January 11, 2016 at about 5pm had been whisked away by her hubby identified as Obakpororo.
Mrs. Abigail told close associates that her husband abandoned her before the delivery and claimed to be out of town, adding that when she informed him of delivery of the baby, he became curious and suddenly showed up at home, warning her not to breastfeed the baby.
According to her, it was the following day after she had returned home that her husband secretly hoodwinked her for comfort, promising to take care of the household.
Later in connivance with his friend, Obakpororo allegedly carried the baby and put her in black
nylon bag, after which the child was transferred to another female friend who took the baby to a waiting jeep driven by an unidentified man.
It was the couple’s eldest son that allegedly saw all that transpired, while, the baby’s mother was said to be sleeping during the episode, even as another account stated that she was taking her bath when the baby was whisked away.
The suspect, Happy Fashion’s friend and two other of his friends have been arrested and are cooling off at the Ovwian Aladja Police Station in Udu Local Government Area, even as the whereabouts of his baby he sold for N2million was still unknown as at the time of filling this report.
Effort to get comments from the DPO of Ovwian Aladja Police Station on the development via mobile phone were futile as he declined comments, saying he could not respond to questions on the issue on phone but the police image maker in the state, Mrs. Celestine Kalu confirmed the incident saying that the investigation was ongoing.
