Former DSS spokesperson sues FG over sack

The former spokesperson of the Department of State Services (DSS) Marilyn Ogar has sued the federal government before the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) over her termination from office.

The case comes up today in Abuja before the President of the court, 
Ogar and others were demoted and later compulsorily retired by the federal government.

Daily Trust recalls that Ogar was promoted Deputy Director alongside 44 others in elevations that were done in the twilight of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration. It was reversed by the present administration citing irregularities and breach of extant rules guiding such actions.

Those named as defendants in the suit are the Attorney General of the Federation, the State Security Service (SSS) and its Director General.

Ahmed Raji (SAN) who filed the suit on behalf of Ogar by way of originating summons wants the court to nullify Ogar’s sack and reinstate her with all her ranks, salaries and benefits.
