According to Daily trust, The Nigeria army on Tuesday said it has retaken Gomboru Ngala from Boko Haram terrorists.
A statement by Army spokesman Colonel Sani Usman said troops on operation Lafiya Dole recaptured the town.
According to Usman: "The Nigerian Army has retaken the economic and strategic town of Gomboru Ngala, Borno State, from the Boko Haram terrorists group today.
"The triumphant troops are now busy with clearing and mopping up patrols."
Colonel Usman promised to give more details of the operation later.
