The Governor of Benue State, Dr. Samuel Ortom revealed how he dropped out of secondary school in Form 2 in 1979.
He became a motor park tout.
Ortom gave this testimony at the 63rd Redeemed Christian Church of God Annual Convention, tagged: “The All- sufficient God.”
The governor said he is now PHD holder.
The governor, who told the worshippers how God told him to contest for the governorship election in Benue State, thanked God for making him the Minister of Trade and Investment and later supervising Minister of the Ministry of Aviation.
According to him: “I dropped out of school in 1979.
“At a particular point in time, I became a motor park tout.
“I underwent various leadership training and distance learning programme and by the grace of God, I am now a PHD holder.”
It could be recalled that Ortom contested for the governorship election of Benue State on April 11, 2015 and emerged as the winner.
He was sworn-in as the governor on May 29, 2015.
