I dropped out of school in Class 2, became a motor park tout – Governor

The Governor of Benue State, Dr. Samuel Ortom revealed how he dropped out of secondary school in Form 2 in 1979.
He became a motor park tout.
Ortom gave this testimony at the 63rd Redeemed Christian Church of God Annual Convention, tagged: “The All- sufficient God.”
The governor said he is now PHD holder.
The governor, who told the worshippers how God told him to contest for the governorship election in Benue State, ‎thanked God for making him the Minister of Trade and Investment and later supervising Minister of the Ministry of Aviation.
According to him: “I dropped out of school in 1979.
“At a particular point in time, I became a motor park tout.
“I underwent various leadership training and distance learning programme and by the grace of God, I am now a PHD holder.”
It could be recalled that Ortom contested for the governorship election of Benue State on April 11, 2015 and emerged as the winner.
He was sworn-in as the governor on May 29, 2015.
