Mr Sunday Akoji an ardent supporter of President Buhari today, put up a post on his Facebook page in response to accusations from supporters
of former president Jonathan that he has never or rarely posted on the
incessant attacks from Boko haram since Buhari became president..
Here is his
response and some from his friends.
Reversal of Roles:
These says I don't need to listen to the News or read
newspaper to know when Boko Haram suicide bombers or terrorists hit a soft
target and dispatch many innocent souls to the great beyond.
I don't even need the Director of Defence information to
put a figure to the casualties.
I get the information straight off the timelines of some
netizens on blogosphere, and I hardly comment on such update.
You know why?
During the reign of King Ebele Da 1st when the bombs were
going off per second and souls were being dispatch to the great beyond per
second, they modern day "Wailing Wailers," (Femi Adesina, 2015)
advised/adviced us to maintain total Radio silence on BOkO Haram attacks.
According to them, if you report an attack you are helping to propagate the
message of terrorists and that's what they want you to do.
I have imbibed that lesson and this explain why I am no
longer a BOKO HARAM reporter. Whenever the insurgents strike, I say a prayer in
my heart for the victim(s) and pray the military high command get to the top of
the situation and root out the evil Boko Haram incubus out of Nigeria and West
Africa as a whole as soon as possible.
But what I find curious is the sudden metamorphosis of
those who were at the vanguard of the campaign to blank out news on Boko Haram
attack during the era of transformation and clueless reign of the Otuokean
suddenly transformed into War Correspondents, reporting every news of Boko Haram's
insurgents attack with glee and keeping a daily count of body bags since May
29, 2015. Whatever happened to practice what you preach?
Interestingly they are CLUELESS when you ask them how
many people were killed by Boko Haram within the last five years of the
Otuokean?
So what happened to them? #Chanji?
Or they never believed in what they preached?
Uche Nnadozie commented: Shebi they said
Boko Haram is sponsored by APC? They also said Boko Haram Is sponsored by
Buhari. They added that Boko Haram was a northern/oyinbo conspiracy to force
Jonathan out of Aso Rock. I wonder why this same Boko Haram is now defying its
sponsors?
Abi PDP don start their own Boko Haram?
A pro PDP supporter put up a defence:
George
Onmonya Daniel Talk
about Buhari now Sunday Akoji.
He isn't doing much on this Boko Haram business, after taking and sending the
headquarters of the army to Maiduguri, I thought this is it, but is it?
Goodluck Jonathan is history. You should learn from Jaafar Jaafar,
a Buhari supporter, who is a critique. He applaud, commend and pick holes when
things are going wrong.
Sunday Akoji responded to George: What happened to the gospel you were
preaching before May 29? Remember back then it was unpatriotic to report any
attack by Boko Haram oooooo. Now that you are at the forefront of reporting
these attacks and keeping a head count of body bags, does it mean that you are
no longer patriotic?
In his reaction, Sunkanmi Adesina commented, When Kingsley Iriogbe updated
us about the body count yesterday, I pounced on him. Thereafter, I took a trip
to his timeline. I clicked 2013, then 2014 - when attacks peaked. Not a single
occasion did I see him doing body count on his page.
I don't see anything wrong in reporting happenings around the country, whether good or bad. What I can't stand is the associated hypocrisy. You can't preach against something today and preached for same today.
Anyway, it's simply a reversal of roles. It happens on both sides.

Chiagozie
Ezike akunne responded thus: Me, I don't comment on boko haram bombings because
I was made to understand that the bombings are the handiwork of the opposition.
I don't know why PDP and Olisah Metuh are terrorizing people like that.
