Rhythm 93.7 FM presenter, killed by robbers in Port Harcourt
A few months after a staff of Silverbird Television, Aisha Noble-Mustapha was brutally murdered by a presumed man-friend, the giant media house has been thrown into mourning yet again as one of its top On Air Personalities (OAP), in the radio arm, Ryhthm FM, Iphie Aggrey-Fynn, has been reportedly shot dead by armed robbers in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The likeable Ghana-Nigeria-born lady who was in her 20s, according to reports, was felled by the deadly gang along Aba-Port Harcourt Expressway yesterday, June 2, on her way back to her base in Port Harcourt from seeing her parents in Aba, Abia State. she died a few days to her birthday.
It was gathered that the bus Iphie, who was also a writer, blogger, motivational speaker and MC, was travelling in, was attacked by the robbers but as the driver tried to manouver and escape from them, they opened fire and unfortunately, the young lady who was preparing for her marriage, was shot dead in the process.
Born to a Nigerian mum and a Ghanaian dad, Aggrey-Fyn Ifeoma considers herself to be somewhat of an afro cocktail. A graduate of Linguistics and communication studies, Iphie started her journey into broadcasting in 2003 as a TV presenter.
Joined the Rhythm family in 2009 and has never looked back. Started her radio carreer at Rhythm 95.7 Awka where she presented the mid morning show "Rhythm n Soul" , Gospel Vibes and "E-Merge" a TV programme on STV Awka.
Joined Rhythm PH in 2011 and has brought her unique style to a different audience through the different drive shows she features in. From the Morning Drive to the Afternoon Drive and the Dance Party including her unique news reading skills, Iphie has been known to be an all rounder.
Iphie was one of the shining lights of the Port Harcourt arm of Ryhthm FM and was seen by her colleagues as one who had the sky for her beginning.
