The BBC's Bill Ries
and Miriam Quansah have collected a Peabody award for its coverage of the Ebola
outbreak in West Africa.
The awards were
distributed at a glitzy Manhattan ceremony on Sunday.
The Peabody website
commended the BBC World Service for "shrewdly" using Twitter,
websites, apps and radio "to keep Africans abreast of the epidemic's
advance and provide people the world over with reliable news".
