A 23 year old girl has been kidnapped, raped and murdered in
Benin city by unknown assailants.
Daily Independent gathered that the body of the
young girl simply identified as Joy Ojolede Okoh was found in a boot of a Jeep
at Upper Mission Extension in Benin City.
According to report, the deceased who was said to be a bread
seller at Lucky Way Junction by Ramat Park was alleged to have close for the
day’s business around 730 pm when she was kidnapped.
The Jeep was said to have been snatched by the gun men and
used for the dastardly act before it was abandoned.
When contacted, the state police public relation officer DSP
Stephen Onwuchei confirmed the story and said the police have commenced
investigation into the incident.
In another development a middle aged man whose name was
given as Osayande Edoigiawerie was allegedly stabbed to death by his lover’s
son at Zabayor street Benin city on Monday night.
Reports had it that Edoigiawerie had gone to his lover to
take his dinner when the son of the woman attacked him with dagger.
The assailant who is now on the run was said to have stabbed
the man in several places that led to excessive bleeding.
The Mother of the assailant was said to have raised an alarm
which attracted the people in the area to the scene who thereafter rushed
Edoigiawerie to a nearby clinic where he was confirmed dead.
When contacted, the Police Public Relation Officer, DSP
Stephen Onwuchei said he was yet to be informed of the incident.
