Commissioner for special duties, Anambra state, Mr. Vincent Ezenwajiaku, has stated that the reason he had been evading invitation by the Lagos police command was because the unit handling the case against him is known for being used to humiliate people unduly once they are paid to do so by those who bring case to them.
He was recently declared wanted
by the police in Lagos over a business transaction with one Chuks Mgbemena.
But reacting in interview over
the weekend in Awka, the Anambra state capital described the special unit of
the Lagos police that is hunting for him as hell on earth, stating that no
human being in his right senses will ever answer their invitation without
making necessary arrangements.
Hear him: "they will
torture you, harass you, intimidate you and detain you without access to your
lawyer just to ensure you were humiliated to justify their pay from your
opponent. I can't subject myself to such humiliation at my level.
The commissioner insisted that
his deal with the said Mgbemena was a genuine business transaction contrary to
claims by police and Mgbemena that his company was Bubble Company.
He said his company, BIOPLASTIC
INDUSTRY LTD was incorporated on 5th of September, 1995,at Ajao estate
with incorporation number:RC 278625.
He wondered how the said Chuks
Mgbemena with a masters degree in business administration and staff of the CBN
then would have claimed that he invested in an non-existing and unregistered
company, without exercising due diligence expected of a person of his status.
Besides, the commissioner
argued that Mgbemena's elder brother, Dr Mike Mgbemena, was the General Manager
of the said company at the time in question.
He said his travail was
politically plotted to tarnish his hard earned reputation.
"Chuks(Mgbemena)hates APGA
with passion and he is not happy that I'm serving as a commissioner in APGA
government”, Ezenwajiaku stated.
