This tale sounds like it should star an
evil-stepmother, not a princess.
Meshael Alayban, the 42-year-old wife of a Saudi prince, was arrested and charged with human trafficking after a Kenyan woman flagged down a bus and told a passenger she was being held against her will at Alayban's Orange County condiminium.
The woman was working as a domestic helper and said her passport was taken.
She wasn't allowed to leave, was forced to work excessive hours, and was paid a fraction of what was promised. A lawyer for Alayban called it "a domestic work hours dispute." Bail is set at $5 million.
