LIBERACE'S ex-lover, Scott
Thorson, has told an Aussie radio station that he slept with Michael Jackson.
Thorson, who is the subject of
the new film Behind the Candelabra which stars Michael Douglas and Matt Damon
broke the news to GOLD104.3 FM yesterday.
The 53-year-old, who had a
romantic relationship with Liberace from the mid 70s to the mid 80s, said he
was introduced to the King Of Pop by the flamboyant pianist.
"I was introduced to Michael
Jackson through Liberace back in '77 and we had a fantastic relationship and
when Lee and I broke up in '82, Michael swept me off my feet and said 'hey, I'm
breaking away from the Jackson 5, I'm going solo, this is when the Thriller
tour started.
Hosts Brig &Lehmo then asked
Thorson to confirm if the pair were "lovers".
"Yes I was, for a short
term," Thorson replied. "It was short term because Michael became
very big at the time and his management team and head of security Bill Bray
thought it would be best that we not go any further with our relationship
because I was still going through the big court scene with Liberace and all that.
He said the pair remained friends
after their "relationship" and spoke about the tragic death of the
singer.
"Up until almost the day he
died. It was very sad but it just goes to show you what these plastic surgeons
can do to you or any doctor for that matter. Michael started his drug addiction
because of the plastic surgeon."
