Latest report from the
Army Headquarters indicated that arrangements have been concluded to decorate
the former Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the late Head of State, Gen. Sani
Abacha, Mr Hamza Al-Mustapha, as a one star general.
Defence sources hinted FrontiersNews that Mr al-Mustapha who last wore the rank of Major would be decorated as a Brigadier General at the Army Headquarters where is expected to resume duties on Wednesday, July 17th 2013.
Our sources indicated that there was nothing unusual in the development as most of Mr al-Mustapha’s mates are already generals in the Nigerian Army.

I thought there are criteria and procedures for promotions in the armed forces?
ReplyDeleteHas he attended the Defence College or it's equivalent? What of the criteria for attaining Lt. Col and Col. ranks?
What of his confidential reports? Hmmmmn!
