Bayelsa State Police Command on Wednesday declared
wanted one Mr. Young Money, alias ‘Virus’, leader of a militant group that
allegedly killed 12 policemen last April in the creeks of Azuzuama and Lobia
communities in Southern Ijaw local government area of the state.
The
command also declared wanted 17 other members of the gang in connection with
the alleged gruesome murder of the cops.
A
statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Alex Akhighe, explained that
all those declared wanted were found to have been involved in the killing of
the police officers.
Among
those declared wanted are Lucky Bakumo alias ‘Blacky’, Egedin Godday Sunday
alias ‘Community’, Young Money alias ‘Virus’, Emeka Samuel, Blacky Wikewei,
Idowu Mathew, Odobogheonuru Famous and Odenyen Zinikiware.
They were
identified as beneficiaries of the ongoing Federal Government’s amnesty
programme.

Independent investigation
indicated that the alleged killers were declared wanted after the arrest and
interrogation of one of the suspects, Jackson Fabuowei, alias ‘Jasper’, last
June by men of the Joint Task Force.
